My practice focuses mainly on the areas of restructuring and insolvency law, including bankruptcy and receivership, as well as foreclosures, creditors’ remedies and security recovery. I have acted as counsel to trustees, secured lenders, directors, shareholders and debtors in a wide variety of insolvency situations.

I also provide representation and advice to housing co-operatives for various matters which include bank financings, corporate governance, membership relations and terminations, human rights claims and related litigation.

Representative Experience:

  • Representing credit unions and other lenders in commercial and residential foreclosures
  • Successfully defending former directors of a bankrupt company from claims of lenders pursuant to personal guarantees given by those directors
  • Acting for a secured creditor to recover assets under security under the Personal Property Security Act, including property on First Nations reserve property
  • Successfully representing a majority shareholder in a shareholders’ dispute
