I also provide support on substantial research assignments and on preparation of factums or other complex written materials.
I advise housing co-operatives on various issues, including rules and occupancy agreements, membership relations and terminations, contracts, policies, human rights claims and related litigation.
Representative Experience:
- Advising a manufacturing company regarding its successful proposal compromising secured and unsecured debt
- Advising a company and the guarantors of the secured debt regarding their rights in the receivership and bankruptcy of a business and on the subsequent financing and acquisition of assets of the old company in a new company
- Advising several secured creditors in the Tagish Lake Gold Corp. proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act, including appealing disallowances of their proofs of claim and negotiating settlements of the claims
- Representing housing co-operatives in defending and obtaining the dismissal of numerous human rights complaints by members
